Dr. Mateo Basso


He graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the University of Milan. In 2006 he obtained the PhD in "Innovative Techniques of Oral Implantology and Implanto-Prosthetic Rehabilitation" and in 2010 he obtained the Specialty in Oral Surgery (MSc), both at the University of Milan.

From 2008 to 2022 he directed the Minimally Invasive, Aesthetic and Digital Oral Rehabilitation Center (CROMED) of the Dental Clinic of the University of Milan hosted in the IRCCS Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute of Milan, developing new protocols and dental materials for preventive dentistry, technologies for tooth remineralization, management of oral biofilms and eubiosis. From 2023 is responsible of the Minimally Invasive, Biomimetic and Restorative Centre at Lake Como Institute (LCI) in Como, Italy. International lecturer and consultant, he carries out his freelance activity at the Basso-Ritzmann Associates dental clinic in Milan.

Active member of the International Society of Minimum Intervention Dentistry (ISMID), active Member ORCA (The European Organization for Caries Research), member of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS), member of SIdP (Italian Society of Periodontology), active member TRAP (Tooth Respect and Prevention society) and member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). Founding member of the European Minimum Intervention Treatment Plan Advisory Board (MITP-AB).
